Roundin’ Up The Raves: Misty Miller, Sego, Night Moves, Kyle Craft

Down with the flu. Must let the music mostly speak for itself. Take a little taste of everything and see what grabs ya.

The Clock can be slowed, but cannot be stopped.

Let’s round ’em up.

coverMisty Miller – The Whole Family Is Worried

Jake Bugg versus The Libertines, coated with punk.

coverSego – Once Was Lost Now Just Hanging Around

An erudite Cake versus early XTC?

coverNight Moves – Pennied Days

Beautifully ragged psych rock.

coverKyle Craft – Dolls Of Highland

Dylan meets Hunky Dory era Bowie? I’ll go with that for now. Craft’s voice sounds like neither, though.

He looks like the kind of artist doomed to make 3 three spectacular albums and then die tragically young, so here’s hoping he lives long and prospers.

Beyoncé’s Lemonade would have been here, too, but it’s unavailable for listening. You should track it down anyway since it’s a tour de force in the “Hell Hath No Fury…” genre.
