Nice list. I personally have mixed feelings about Awaken My Love. On one hand I enjoy listening to it, on the other I feel it borrows too much from the 70s P-Funk/Sly Stone scene without adding originality. Every time I put it on I wonder halfway through why am I not listening to a Funkadelic album instead.
Agreed about Awaken My Love. I totally heard the echoes of Funkadelic throughout the album. Wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first, but I kept on wanting to play the album, and I enjoy it more and more. Thanks for checking out the blog. And thanks for the comments.
