Roundin’ Up The Strays: Foster The People, Bob Wayne, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, OK Go

After an all-lady lineup for our last edition, we now cue an all-dude revue. Still shuffling through some of the best from 2014 here. In a few weeks I’ll unveil my choices for personal faves of the year. Until then, let’s round ’em up.

Foster_the_People_-_SupermodelFoster The People – Supermodel

No one-trick pony here. The authors of “Pumped Up Kicks” deliver a kickin’ collection of catchy pop-rock.

Bob Wayne - back to the camperBob Wayne – Back To The Camper

I think the cover speaks volumes. A fine throwback to old-school, outlaw country.

CoverTom Petty & The Heartbreakers – Hypnotic Eye

Arguably Petty’s best album in 15 years. Certainly a must for guitar lovers.

coverOK Go – Hungry Ghosts

I will always recommend OK Go. Luckily, their new album justifies my faith in them.

(The group held a contest to make a video for their song “I’m Not Through.” Below is my favorite entry.)
