Roundin’ Up The Raves: Mean Jeans, Sarah Blasko, The Temperance Movement, Public Access T.V.

Overwhelmed by a stampede of new records, I find myself forced to double the size of the roundup lest all the albums escape over the horizon to plunge off what I can only assume is the edge of the earth. Part 1 today followed by Part 2 tomorrow.

Let’s round ’em up.

Mean Jeans – Jingles Collection

Nobody asked Mean Jeans to write these 23 jingles for products ranging from Coors Light, to RAIN-X Wiper Blades, to Selsun Blue. But write them they did. Punk rock with that catchy commercial sound.

Sarah Blasko – Depth Of Field

One of the finest and most underrated purveyors of electro-pop in the electro-pop world. Get purveyed!

The Temperance Movement – A Deeper Cut

Need a dose of good old-fashioned classic rock? Get an earful of The Temperance Movement.

Public Access T.V. – Street Safari

The 80’s are alive and well with funky basslines and NYC swagger.
